KA-Nine is single-handedly re-arranging the perception of what a disciplined, flashy, and persistent rapper has to offer. This Nashville raised, and Nigerian-rooted artist has high hopes and is aggressively declaring that he has "NEXT"!

Raised in a traditional Nigerian home, KA-Nine, born Kinard Agim, quickly learned the value of sacrifice and discipline. After his father left the home, he watched his mother work three jobs around the clock to support him and his three siblings. "…so now I grind with two jobs, while being a full-time student at Tennessee State University like it's nothing!!! I watched my Mom do it for so long without complaining. I learned first-hand how sometimes you gotta sacrifice fun and sleep to get to where you want to be."

KA-Nine's introduction to the music game was a steady and gradual one. As a teenager KA-Nine and his friends frequently fooled around with music. "Me and some of my homeboys used to just start rapping at the lunch table and having these little battles daily. Then I started looking at the industry and analyzing it more and more, 'til one day my senior year I said 'I don't care if a lot of people don't make I'm gonna pursue a rap career'".

As a youngster, KA-Nine heavily exposed himself to East-Coast hip hop; including the likes of 50-Cent, G-Unit, and Jay-Z. Although surrounded by first-rate rap representation, KA-Nine's adolescent years were far from studios and mix-tapes. KA-Nine's affinity for music was initially expressed thru Mass-Communications, which he is now studying at Tennessee State University.

In early 2009, KA-Nine debuted his artistry with his first placement on ATM Vol. 1 project. This rewarding opportunity was swiftly followed up with talent Show performances.

Today KA-Nine boldly stands out as a self proclaimed entertainer in a world of studio generated artists. KA-Nine's flavor of artistry can be best described as a hard-hitting mix of vivid descriptions, storytelling, and wild metaphors. "I make Fiction music! I'm livin' what I'm speaking!"

The results of KA-Nine's hard work materialized more recently with the spring 2010 release of introduction project No Rest for the Best, hosted by Dj Crisis of FlyMajor.com, being featured in Nashville's edition of Concrete Magazine, and a nomination for a Hip Hop in the Ville Award for Best New Artist.

N.I.N.A was not sure about her quest for music until 2003 when she met and formed a duo with Shaunika Hill called Shamara. Ca$$: From Miami to all Over the World
By: Lola Sims

It's late evening and kids and adults can still be heard running the streets of Miami. The calmness of the light breeze, flowing through the slit in the window, speaks nothing of the chaos outside but does seem to match the mood of 25-year-old John "Ca$$" Joseph as he scans his blackberry for the right number. Dressed in a crème thermal and dark denim jeans that happen to match the beige and dark brown Nike Flights on his feet, he appears to be the type that isn't used to getting dirty. Then as his head raises and his eyes come into clear view, the depths of their color tell a life of hardship, struggle, and perseverance.

Backed by the Florida based promotions, production, and event organizing firm, Bangkok Entertainment, Ca$$ is ready to take the industry by storm.

"I want to be bigger than a rap artist, some of the biggest artists in the game are broke," states Ca$$. "For me it's more about making a change in the world and it starts with the hood."

In today's society it is safe to say that many people enter the rap game for the wrong reasons, but for Ca$$ the reasons are quite different. With an undeniable talent that has been recognized and cosigned, he's an irrefutable star that can't be resisted. As lyrical in consciousness, thoughtfulness, as well as fun street music, his eagerness and winning attitude are what set him apart from the other artists in his genre. Able to intertwine words that are so versatile and stimulating it has created nothing short of a movement.

Influenced by T.I., Nas, Snoop Dogg, Young Jeezy, Cash Money and his idol Trick Daddy, Ca$$ first joined forces with his childhood friends to form the popular Tampa based rap entourage. The Black Jack Boyz. But like most new artists, the lack of industry knowledge and bad management caused the group to split. Determined to still pursue his talent in music, Ca$$ met another set back when he fell victim to the streets and landed a 2 year prison bid. Ironically it was during this incarceration that Ca$$ decided it was music or bust.

"There's really nothing else to do in Prison, so I wrote songs," starts Cas$$. " Sometimes I'd be in the hole for 23 hours a day and it was those lyrics that got me through to the next. I was used to putting hustling first, but once you go to prison, you start to think a little differently. Who wants to go back? Before prison, I never thought I could be a solo artist but now I totally believe in myself and my talent. I'm ready."

Choosing music over the streets is already proving to be a smart decision for the talented rapper. Having previously worked with several major recording artists such as Lil' Boosie and Mike Jones, he has proven the ability to hold his own. Currently working his new single "I'm On" featuring Lil Boosie and impressing the rap game one listener at a time, Ca$$ is on the right track. In addition to music, Ca$$ also hopes to also catapult his non-profit agency "Think Outside The Hood," for the under-served children of the world stuck in poverty. With artists like Ca$$ proving their talent and dedication to inspiring and helping to improve others he's definitely an artist to watch.
