1 LYFE IS FIGHTING DEPRESSION THROUGH MUSIC AND POETRY & COMEDY

PLEASE LISTEN CLOSELY TO THE ATTACHMENT. IT IS THE 1 LYFE THEME SONG CALLED " CHOOSE LYFE" AND ONE OF THE FEATURED SONGS ON MY UPCOMING MUSIC AND POETRY YOUTH SUICIDE PREVENTION PROJECT! THE INFO BELOW GIVES A BREIF SUMMARY OF THIS PROJECT.

ATTENTION FAMILY!!!!! IM CALLING ON ALL ARTIST- SINGERS, HIP HOP ARTIST, GROUPS, BANDS, PRODUCERS, DJ'S, POETS, & COMEDIANS FOR A VERY SPECIAL MUSIC AND POETRY PROJECT! Im putting together a colaboration CD for 1 LYFE to help raise awareness among our in urban areas, especially our youth about depression, anxiety, & youth suicides. I intend on using music & poetry with a message or a meaning, along with comedy to save lives! I NEED YOUR HELP. Anyone who is willing to donate a track, a song, or piece to this effort please contact me ASAP for details.

I would like to use music of substance to uplift, encourage, educate, or provide inspiration to our community. I pray that this project will provide hope to those who suffer from depression and who maybe having thoughts of suicide. Included in this CD will be facts about depression, warning signs to this deadly illness, along with places to get help. They say music cleanses the soul so hopefully this CD will be another tool to help fight a condition that is taking the lives of our young people. I am attempting to reach them where they are, and I know how music helped me to make it through a very bad depression as well as 3 suicide attempts. I want to get the word out and break the stigma in our community that surrounds depression and suicide. "LETS TALK ABOUT IT" is the tentative name of the project.

Each participant is asked to donate a song, poem or track OF MEANING to this project. Those who are selected for the CD will be able to market the CD as they see fit and your proceeds will be YOUR PROCEEDS. This project is designed to hit the streets hard so I need people who are ready to promote. in addition the plan is to eventually do a series of youth events / concerts throughout the area featuring the participants of this project. The goal is to build a format not just for the local stage but a product that can go national as with a few years. Ladies and gentlemen, initial funds rasied will be used toward obtaining the 501c3 tax exempt status for 1 LYFE, so that more lives can be touched and saved. Left over funds collected will go to future projects and awareness events and a portion will be shared with other organizations who are intent on helping out youth. PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD! I see how people came together and hit the studio and the streets when Haiti called.... TIME TO DO THE SAME FOR OUR YOUNG PEOPLE RIGHT HERE AT HOME! UnI.DMV Music Scholarship

UnI.DMV is giving back to the youth and helping to build the future of DMV music. Back in August 2010, UnI.DMV, our partners and sponsors, successfully put on a school supply drive/tour throughout DC, Maryland and Virginia. We're looking to "collaborate across states for a common cause" once again! WE NEED YOU! Rep your state!

The 1st Annual UnI.DMV "Future of Music" Scholarship will be given to a deserving High School Senior who is going to school to major in music at a local college.

We are looking for strong, organized supporters of the DMV urban music scene to help put together fundraisers to donate money and promote the cause. We are looking to raise funds throughout the month of April and award the scholarship in May before graduation.
