Crazy hook, mean beat, kind of hard to mess this up. My gripe with the song is that T-Dubb's slow flow on this makes it sound like he is trying to fill up the bars rather than ride the track, I would have much rather heard him flow faster on this beat. The delivery was lacking for such a solid beat. I think a track with less bpm's would work better for the flow he laid. Yet his love for Bad Newz VA shows through on this track and is what engages me when I listen to it. Its definitely a "hood anthem" as he puts on for his city by letting you know how it is down there.

Connection... That was my biggest issues with the track. I wasn't able to fully connect with it. What Redd is saying isn't the problem. However, what she is saying it on is. The beat is simple and takes away from the message I believe she is trying to relay. Her words were enough to grab my attention like when she says "flow is bananas & the gorillas is feelin it". Still I was turned off by the production. Put the same words on an another track with a different hook and I think my opinion would be different. After a couple of listens you'll be chanting "2 up, 2 down".

How would you feel having someone tell you that you girlfriend, boo, sweetheart or whatever pet name you give her isn't who you thought she was? Well, if you are the sensitive type who can't take the truth, this isn't the song for you! Why, because Laelo let's you know from the start of the track what he thinks of your girl - she's a "Rolla". The song comes on with the hook stating "your shawty's a rolla, you cannot control her/ you gotta let an eagle go & spread its wings, you should just let it go cuz". Nuff said! With a solid hook and tough lines like "after we cut I make her skate, (why) cuz she's a rolla" or "you take her to Benihana's, I'm taking your chick to Checkers" along with features from notable DMV artists K-Beta & Frankie of The Co-Op, you can't help but admit this track is something serious! if you are having problems with your lady friend or have caught her in lies lately, look at this track as relationship advice!

1) The Practice..an intro with actual bars you gotta love when a cd starts of this way. 2)The Future ..speaks on being just that, putting the DMV on the back and broad shoulders. 3)Give Em A Show...now I may be partial to this song because Ive actually seen it performed on numerous occasions. It's catchy in my opinion. 4)Like Me ..This is the "Im different than ya'll track", my music is real in other words play the spade and try to pull my cards. 5)Microphone...an amazing symphony from the ZZ GANG, and that's all I'll say. WOW (aight that's all im gonna say lol) 6)Hustler .. punchline packed track bout hustling in every form from music to the block 8)Doing My Job...again an I put on for my city song, this one however speaking for the whole city and Lyriciss doing his part for the greater good. 9)It Aint Hard To Tell '09...Bragging on his own skills on this one..saying Im good an it's obvious..hence the title of the track.10)Bright Nights...speaking on the things that can bring you close to saying forget doing this rap stuff, the discouraging moments that make it more worth while when you overcome them. 11)What You Thought...more braggin from what i hear 12)New Day...bringing lyricism back, plain and simple 13)You Wrong...moving on, Im done putting up with a girl that aint worth it 14)Cross Country...snippet 16)Successful...i think this should've been left alone Lyriciss said it himself WHY IS HE RAPPING OVER DRAKE'S ISH? ..just my opinion you judge for yourself. 18)Blinded ...story telling, content, i this song all the things that tend to be absent from music. It isnt bout the punchlines its the harsh reality of life. 19)Hard Times ...the what you know bout going through this song, get a perspective of who i am 20)We Got It ...HIP HOP lives in the DMV...believe me! 21)Thank You ...appreciation to the things/people that contributed to me being me.

Overall 92 out of 100 = A-
Quotable lines:
1) "Besides a few GOOD MEN ya'll can't candle the truth"
2)"On my own, with NO-BODY like most white women"
3)"I pitch vocals,....ventriloquist" (Now thats what I like to see there)
Last Thought: Lyriciss will get better, this I can promise because of his love for HIP HOP. Which exudes from his soul and shines through in his music. His passion and desire to do this for the GAME makes the sky his limit. The point scale for this mixtape actually can be argued a point or 2 in either direction (i actually changed it a few times) but that in my opinion is an arguement worth having. The Practice is refreshing, Lyriciss I salute you.
