Twitter, how I miss you... NOT!

I don't usually do editorials. I leave that up to the real journalist. However, along with this month's reviews, I felt the need to talk to you (the reader) about my reason for leaving Twitter. Why? Who cares? Apparently, a lot of people do. I have been off of there for about a month now and I still get calls, text and BBMs asking me why I am not on Twitter. Very simple. It wasn't as serious to me as it is to other people. So, I decided to cancel it like Nino. That's it and that's all. I didn't use it as other artists, entertainers and journalists did. It was never a business tool for me. It was a place for me to get on daily and say the funniest things that came to my mind. Once I was tired of doing that, I deleted it. NEXT... No, I will not be making up a new page. People who do that, do it for attention. But, I will entertain the idea if for some strange reason someone offers to pay me to tweet and I get verified. But, I'm not remotely famous so neither will happen with that being said, lets get to my reviews.

Early the MC - I Got Work

I have been a fan of Early's since the Myspace days and the fact that he puts out this kind of product is the reason why. This is solid soulful track produced by Kajmir Royale with a sample from the classic Isley Brother song "Work To Do" that could catch a deaf man's ear from the start. This song is all about grinding and working in this music business and throughout life. Early makes rap seem easy with the way that he flows over the beat along with some nice lines to match. One of my favorite lines is when Early says "on a steady grind, so when I really start to shine/ I think you'll really need a, supervisor (Super Visor)". It is a great song with a great subject matter to match. You should add this track to your music device for future playback.

Bossman vs Wale??? What's the Basis?

So I do what I do everyday, hop on the iPad to see what's goings on with DMV music. That means I stop past sites like www.dcmumbosauce.com and http://www.forthedmvonly.com/ (both Heat and Judah owe me for the plug) for my home grown music fix. But this time, I stopped past our neighbors up in Bmore site - http://www.rapattackblog.com/ because I saw a link on AHH saying that Bossman is dissing Wale. In no way shape or form do I believe this is DC/PG vs Bmore thing but it is all very interesting. Seems like Bossman isn't too fond of cuzzo. So, if you haven't heard it, here it is http://www.rapattackblog.com/2010/11/bossman-disses-wale/.

Cmon DMV, can't we all be friends
