Each month I am tasked with giving you (the reader) my opinion of other artists music. Contrary to what you may believe it is harder than it seems. Majority of the music is sub-par at best but there are times where I find something I take interest in. This month is no different. The hardest part about what I do is walking the line of being critical without coming off as a douche'. So rather than do that, I opt to not do complete reviews. I did find some joy out of listening to Meche Korrect music that was forwarded to me. The sound was different and definitely wasn't expected.
Do me a favor, send me something that I can rock out to next month. So with this month's review, I beg of you, I plead with you ALL - send me better music.

Wale & MMG... Match Made In Heaven? I Think Not!
Let me start off by saying that I think Wale signing with Ross was a great "business" move. It allows Wale to expand his brand with a solid artist like Rick Ross plus he side by side with one of the best young spittas i've ever heard, Meek Millz (SN: I lived/traveled up Philly for the past 5 years so Meek isn't new to me). However, when I think of Wale, I think of a cool, chill dude with bars. Soughta like listening to Lupe but w/o the deepness (no shots). He's on the 2011 version of Death Row, surrounded by artists such as Ross, Meek, Torch and Gunplay. That's big shoes to fill when your the cool dude of the group. Maybe he can find his lane with them, maybe not, I just know that I wasn't the biggest fan of him signing with MMG and his new video, "The Cloud" only confirmed my fears. I had a convo with Doobz via Twitter where she tried to explain that Wale always promoted the high life. I can't say that I know that to be true. What I can say is that as a artist who has been through artist development, I know about building a brand/market and catering to them. With that being said, this isn't what I know Wale for. All it takes is more people to think like me to hurt his numbers. With that being said, I'll still listen, not because it is my job to, but because cuzzo does have bars. I just hope he thought this one all the way through.

Grind Time Now DMV league is one of the fastest growing battle leagues out right now. Grind Time DMV President Paradoxx Invited Music Is Life Magazine out to The "Young Gunz" Event. Paradoxx , Maestro Metaphorics and Shaka Pitts hosted the event. There were so many Judges from all over the country I couldn't get everybody name. These battle where hyped all over facebook , twitter and the blog sites. I was very Impressed with the battles,The Battle between Tyranny vs Mendoza was one of those show stealing battles.
They Both came hard with serious punch lines. I would love to see these to battle again. There were some very close battles tonight that coulda went either way. I.Q. Vs Mr. West V was one of those battles a lot of people thought I.Q. Should have one the Battle. Mark from NYC said Sometimes its hard to judge these battles because everybody judge differently. Some people judge off of crowd responses or the punchline or how the line was delivered. Double Deuce vs Boi Trufe was a crazy battle that Deuce won very easily.

We are here at The Island Cafe for B Dot Eazie Mixtape Party Featuring Pastor Troy.
This was a very excited evening with a lot of miscues from the Promoters. One Promoter told me that he charges the Media to cover his events. Rule #1 you never charge the media to cover your events and Rule #2 you never piss the media off. I think this promoter forgot that the media can make or break you just like fans can. The opening acts for Pastor Troy were filled with up and coming artists trying to catch a big break. I think a few of them where nervous because they where opening up for Pastor Troy. Sadly they didn't bring their" A" Game they brought their "C" and "D" Game. I was pleased with Evosys Entertainment they brought their "A" Game and their stage presence was great. DMV Veterans DC TY and Lady Moet performed a crazy set .Pastor troy arrived around 1 am and did a quick meet and greet with fans. Then Bangman Bigalowe hit the stage and also brought his "A" Game. B Dot Eazie hit the stage and gave the crowd their monies worth and also handed out copies of his new mixtape. Pastor Troy hit the stage with all the passion and energy he is known for World Wide. The DMV loved Pastor Troy , I also hear Pastor Troy will be working with some DMV Artist in the Near future.
